10 Christian Songs of Gratitude (2023)

Gratitude is an attitude of appreciation in which a person shows how grateful they are for something someone has done for them. According to this definition, Christians should be more grateful than anyone else on earth. After all, your sins have been forgiven, you're sealed in Christ, and you have the hope of eternal life. It doesn't matter what is going on in your life; nothing is greater than that. For this reason, of all people, we should be most grateful. To help you, I want to share some songs of gratitude with you. These 10 songs about gratitude will help you appreciate all that God has done (and continues to do) in your life. We hope they will stimulate your memory and help you shift your focus, causing praise and gratitude to flow from your heart. Since gratitude is a form of thanksgiving, it will help us to follow the Psalms.

In my typical style, I will include music of both old and modern genres; I hope this broadens your horizon of compliments.

1. "Thank God" Maverick City

Founded in 2018, Maverick City is one of the newest entrants to the worship space of contemporary Christian music. Since its release, they have created some very popular praise and worship songs. This song tells the story of the road to salvation. For starters, this is a great song of gratitude as it reminds you of your path to Christ. Think about where you have been and where you are now because of what Jesus has done in your life. If the saving work that Jesus has done in your life doesn't evoke true gratitude, I don't know if anything will.

2. "Thank you" by Don Moen

This is one of those classic gratitude songs written by Don Moen. according to yourwebsiteMoen wrote over 100 songs and conducted services on every continent except Antarctica. This is, as he says, why he came to this earth: "To be an architect designing products and events that help people experience the presence of God in a new and renewed way."

Don achieved this with this simple yet powerful song. Thanking Jesus comes from a grateful heart. This classic is a song that reminds you to be thankful because the work Jesus has done for you is all you need. In fact, with Jesus, you have everything you need.

3. "Thank You Lord" by Fred Hammond

Fred Hammond is one of the most popular and prolific gospel artists of all time. It features a range of songs, from upbeat songs of praise to powerful hymns of praise, all designed to put your heart into an attitude of praise and worship. This song, released in 2000, thanks God for His faithfulness in your life path. One thing I love about Jesus is that he doesn't run away from you when life gets tough. He not only goes through the hard times in your life with you; often takes you through it. This song will make you think about the times when Jesus walked with you through life. There is nothing better to say about this than thank you.

4. "Worthy is the Lamb" by Darlene Zschech

Worthy of Hillsong is the lambztgiezobogtube.

This praise song was written by Darlene Zschech from Hillsong Worship. This is another song of gratitude that has become the anthem of the Church and has been performed by many artists. If you've been to church for a while, you may even remember singing this song on Sunday mornings. This song is about the memory of the cross. The mere mention of the cross and the thought of Jesus' sacrifice for your salvation should automatically arouse gratitude in your heart. If not, I'd say you need to examine your heart.

5. "More Than Everything" by Anita Wilson

When you think of gratitude songs, there are many ways you can show your gratitude. This Anita Wilson song expresses gratitude, not just saying "thank you." In this song, gratitude is expressed by confessing one's love for Jesus. Sometimes the best way to say thank you and show gratitude is through love and devotion. The most important statement in this song is to love Jesus more than anything else in this world. When you think about all that Jesus has done for you, you must love Him completely and let Him reign in your heart.

6. "Bless His Holy Name" by Andre Crouch

Bill and Gloria Gaither - Bless His Holy Namezbill-e-gloria-gaitherobogtube.

One of the indomitable creators of gospel music is the late Andre Crouch. OnChristianity todayIn an article written after his death, Robert Darden described him thus:

“Crouch was an innovator, a road-finder, a forerunner in an industry known for its conservative and often derivative approach to popular music. He blended gospel and rock, spicing it up with jazz and calypso when the mood set and the music called for it, and is even one of the founders of what is now called "praise and worship" music.

"Bless His Most Holy Name" was written literally straight fromSalmo 103.

“Bless the Lord, my soul; and all that is in me, bless His holy name." (Salmo 103:1KJV)

This is the main purpose of the song: to give glory and blessing to God for all that He has done. In the second verseSalmo 103, David reminds us not to overlook any of the benefits. That's what this song is about: remembering all the great things God has done.

7. "The Alabaster Box" by CeCe Winans

When you've had a career as long as CeCe Winans and come from such an iconic family as the Winans, it's sometimes hard to pinpoint your best songs. However, if someone were to write a list of CeCe's best songs, this one would easily do it. This song tells the story of a woman who wet Jesus' feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. She then poured her expensive perfume on Jesus' feet (see vvMatthew 26,Marcos 14, LubLuke 7). It was an amazing act of gratitude - she was a sinful woman, but she was grateful that Jesus had forgiven her all her sins. This song is all our stories because we have been forgiven so much. While we cannot pour perfume on His feet, we can offer worship wholeheartedly, put praise on our lips, and give it to Jesus. The good news is that he will get it anyway.

8. "Grace took the first step" by Erskin Anavitarte

This song was written by Erskine Anavitarte, known simply as Erskine. He may not be as well known as the other names on this list, but he has made an impact in the music business and has written some very thought-provoking songs. This song of gratitude is about God's grace. Sometimes it is good to remember that we are all saved by the grace of God. The best thing this song reminds us of is that grace has taken the first step. God, meeting you, first drew you to Himself, so let us be grateful for His grace.

9. "God's Goodness" performed by Bethel Music

If there is one thing for which we can be grateful and for which we can express our gratitude, it is the goodness of God. The fact of God's goodness can sometimes go unnoticed because we tend to equate God's goodness with the things He blesses us with. While they may reflect God's goodness, they do not sum up God's goodness. The goodness of God is summed up in one act - the cross. This song will remind you to sing about God's goodness in your life. Keep the cross in mind if you are in a time that may not look good or feel good right now. This is an eternal demonstration of God's goodness in your life.

10. "Gratitude" by Brandon Lake

To complete this list of Christian songs of gratitude, it is worth adding a song called "Gratitude." This song encourages you to worship God because that is one of the things we have to offer you. The Bible reminds us that God dwells in the glory of his people (Sal. 22:3what God wants. He wants us to raise our hallelujahs and praises to Him - not from perfect hearts, but from grateful hearts. So with this one (and all the other songs mentioned) let your hearts be forever filled with gratitude... for where would we be if it wasn't for our Lord and Savior?
